Obituary
Donald E. Hautala, 83, of Seattle, WA, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2012, in Des Moines, WA. Donald was born on February 26, 1929 in Chicago and was a US Army veteran. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary, and a brother, David. Donald is survived by his loving son, Donald K.; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Arlene Hautala of SeaTac; and a sister-in-law, Bev Forslof of Edgewood. He is also survived by nephews, Jeff and Tim, and nieces, Theresa, Holly, and Bridgette. A celebration of Donald’s life is being planned and details will be announced. Both Donald and his wife, Mary, will be interred together at Tahoma National Cemetery at a later date. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family online by visiting www.bonneywatson.com. Our most heartfelt condolences to the Family and Friends of our Member, Donald. We would like all of you to know that he was elected to Life Membership in 1997, and initiated into the Elks in 1966. Such steadfasteness and loyalty of 47 years to an ideal is a value we all strive for. He will be remembered and counted among our honored and absent brother, whose virtues are written on our hearts and whose faults are written in the sand.
