Donald Lee passed away on October 22, 2024, at the age of 93 in Maricopa, Arizona. Born on August 11, 1931, in Seattle, Washington, Donald dedicated his life to his faith and service to others.

A devout Christian, Donald was deeply involved in various ministries, including work at a boys’ home, local churches, and the King County Jail. His commitment to sharing God’s love and salvation was evident in his passion for teaching the word of God and his selfless acts of kindness. Known for his excellent fishing skills, both in the natural and spiritual sense, he was affectionately regarded as a “fisher of men.”

Donald served honorably in the Army Reserves, achieving the rank of E-7 Sergeant First Class. During his 16 and a half years of service, he played a crucial role in training his peers across multiple disciplines, embodying the ethos of a dedicated and skilled leader.

He is fondly remembered for his involvement in Beacon Hill Christian Fellowship, a church he helped build and nurture, creating a legacy that continues to inspire the congregation.
Donald had a favorite poem:
I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
I then most humble pray,
when in the Lord’s great landing net
and peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy I be judged
BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP!

Donald leaves behind a loving family, including his children Terry Lee, Debra Lee-McCormick, Anthony Lee, Robin Grimes, Julie Wicks, and Jeff Iverson, his stepchild through his beloved wife Jean. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and many great grandchildren, sister, Joyce Eide, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will miss him dearly.

The funeral services will be held at Bonney Watson Funeral Home, located at 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98188, on Saturday June 14th at 12:00 noon. Bonney Watson Funeral Home is overseeing the arrangements, ensuring Donald’s life is honored in a manner befitting his significant contributions and lasting impact on his community and family.
