Obituary

Donald Louis Horn, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend passed away at Tacoma General Hospital with his cherished family by his side.
Donald (Don) was the youngest of two sons born to mother, Gladys Margaret De Poyster and Louis A. Horn in Washington, Kansas, on January 11, 1935.

Don was a staff sergeant in the 104th division of the Army (WWII). Don attended the University of Washington and graduated from University of Puget Sound with a
business degree. Don was an avid fisherman, bird hunter, wood worker, gardener, sports enthusiast and a harmonic whistler. Don loved anything with peanut butter,
put catsup on almost any food and learned to tolerate spinach later in life.

Don worked at The Boeing Company for 32 years as a Procurement Manager. After retiring from Boeing, Don had a couple of “odd” jobs as
1) a window washer at various businesses, including the Auburn SuperMall.
2) a courier for Alaska Airlines/Continental Airlines to which he obtained multiple airline miles and the nickname “The Money Man”.

Don was predeceased by his mother, father, brother Robert (Bob) and daughter Elizabeth Rountree.

Don is survived by his wife, Sharon Horn, son’s Jerry & Kenneth O’Donnell, daughter’s Cindy O’Donnell & Rebecca Corson, sons-in-law, Mike Rountree and Johnnie Lynch. As well as 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren
