We should all be sorry for the memories that were left behind and the lives we were cheated of.

Let everyone who reads to covet their homes and fear judgment.

You will be sadly missed, Don. I don’t believe there will ever be anyone that can convince me to drink champagne from my shoes again, but I had plenty of good times with you, and will miss you always, Dad. Rest in peace and my your angels be with you and watch over you as you journey to Heaven. I love you.

We are very dear friends with Jim and Maureen Lowndes. We only met Don a few times, but he was always gracious and friendly.

His passing is a tragic loss.

Don was a very gentle and kind man that will be missed by many here. May he now live, far away from the troubles of this life, in well deserved peace and tranquility, with God in His heavenly kingdom, in a new healthy strong body, reunited with treasured loved ones-including pets, surrounded by beautiful angels and stars and things that are good and pleasing.

Don and I have been friends, neighbors, classmates and buddies since we were both seven years old. He’s just one day older than me. He will always be remembered by me, and I’m sure by all of his friends, as one of the kindest, most generous and loyal friends that one could be privileged to know. He was always respectful and there wasn’t anything Don wouldn’t do for a friend, which at times led to his getting in trouble when we were kids. Don’s kindness and generosity extended to animals, too. He was especially fond and caring of his dogs and likewise to all pets, whether his own or his friends. We lived only several blocks apart, which has remained the case for almost 70 years. It is already very sad to drive by Don’s house and realize he’s not with us any more. May he rest peacefully in Heaven.

Don was a decent man with a good heart. Although he could be rough around the edges there was no mistaking the goodness of his heart. Perhaps a bit ornery at times, but a twinkle of enjoyable mischief could be found in a sparkle in his eye. I enjoyed my time spent with him while I shared a home with him and Stephanie and young Marcus back in the early 90’s. He will be fondly remembered by both me and my children.

Goodbye Don Marinoff. Go in peace.

You are missed.
