Obituary
Donald Wayne Oakley
Donald Wayne Oakley passed away peacefully on October 16 at the age of 96. He was born March 26, 1915 in River Falls, Wisconsin, one of 9 children. While working as an electrician he met a beautiful woman named Beulah while riding an elevator and it was love at first sight. They were together through 70 years, six children, 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He loved music and continued to play his electric organ even in his final days. He appreciated a good western, and was always there to watch the game with his sons. He could fix anything, but what he was best at was encouraging his children and grandchildren to do whatever they loved. His family always came first. What will be missed most about Don is his sense of humor and the love and support he had for everyone.
Preceded in death by son John Oakley, he is survived by his wife of 70 years Beulah; his children Nancy Manning and husband Rick, Sally Erickson, Bob Oakley and wife Jackie, Donna Oakley, Steve Oakley and wife Amy, and daughter-in-law Shirley Oakley. Any donations in his memory should be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
