Obituary
Donna Rae Doty (Bell), a life-long resident of Seattle WA, passed on October 3rd 2018 soon after being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 66 at her home surrounded by family.
Donna is survived by her husband, Daniel; their children, Nichelle Saxer (Dan), Kasey Doty, Kelly Doty and Helen Luedtke (Mike)and family; their grandchildren Ryanne and Sydnie Whitman and Jaden Sanders. She is predeceased by her parents, Durwood Eugene Bell and Sarah Margaret Bell (Finnefrock).
Donna was born in Renton WA on June 22nd 1952 and was an only child. She attended Tyee High School and held various jobs including working for the school district and as a medical transcriptionist. On October 21st 1971, she married Dan, a machinist and her high school sweetheart. They had 3 biological children and 1 adopted child. They made their home in Seattle in the same house that Donna grew up in.
Donna was a devoted mother and many of her children’s friends considered her as a second mother. She enjoyed nature especially the mountains and wolves. She adored her pets, dogs Koda and Chico and cat Zeus. She was an avid music lover and enjoyed sharing her knowledge with anyone. She has many pictures of bands that she took when she was younger and those were very happy memories for her. She was a wonderful and thoughtful listener, always calm. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
