Dear Sally and family,
I can’t tell you how my heart dropped when you told me the news. Although I know that Don is definetly with the Lord, somehow I still feel selfish that he is no longer here with us.
My comdolences to your whole family. I will never forget the Doctor, the Pastor, the man and the friend that Don was to me and so many others.
God be with all of you through your grieving.
I will have you all in my prayers.
Carol Morrow
Dear Family & Friends; My thoughts and prayers go out to each and everyone of you at this heartfelt time. Dr. Hanson had been my Doctor and delivered my daughter Shayna back in 1984 at Highline Community Hospital. Not only was he my doctor long ago but he was also a great man that gave a spiritual comfort to all.
I was Dr. Hanson’s receptionist for 81/2 yrs. Our staff consisted of his wife Sally, daughter Sue
Sally, I think back on the 81/2 yrs we all worked together in the office. We had some great times together. Even though we don’t see each other often now I think of you & your family often. I know your hubby is happy in heaven.
The earthly pilgrimage referred to, as this “life” is indeed just like a vapour, or shadow which soon vanishes away. As such, it isn’t much of how long we live our lives on this planet earth, but rather, “how well we lived our lives.”
Amidst his strugles, Rev. Dr. D.D. Hanson devoted his life in service to God. I never knew he was this close to home when he visited me with his family few Months ago. May his soul rest in Peace, and may the all knowing and gracious God preserves and console his entire family members he has left behind in Jesus’ Name. AMEN
Fred Aiwekhoe.
Sally, David, Danny, and Susan – You have our sincerest sympathy. I loved all my visits to Seattle but do remember when I went to Victoria when Donovan was taking classes there. He dropped me off at the “underground mall” and left me there the whole day. What a “people’s watcher’s” dream that was. The Ferry rides were wonderful, calming and a time one could reflect. I shall miss him greatly and his kind words and prayers when we were going through trying times with dad. I shall miss him greatly. May Peace Be With You ~ Karyl
Sally, and Family
We share your loss and send along our prayers for God’s Peace and Comfort. Don’s life was evidence of his faith lived out. His wise counsel, prayers, and words of encouragement were always valued. My memories go back to our childhood. There are so many treasures; sled rides, lost teeth, tutoring, some special excursions, forgotten money, and his rescues. As the oldest Grandchild, he set a worthy example. We shall never forget him. God Bless – Karen
I have the utmost love and respect for dr. hanson. He was my physician for yrs. and my children’s dr. for a couple yrs.
not only a dr. caring for my health, but a friend and a spiritual helper.
I haven’t seen him in a number of yrs. but he was always on my mind and in my prayers. I will miss him, but he is in a wonderful place.
Dr. Hanson was a caring gentle man. I took his classes for healing years ago. I appreciate his warm encouragement when I worked at the hospital.

To Sally, David, Danny, and Sue,
As family member we to share in your grief over the loss of our beloved Donovan Hanson. But rest assured Don is no longer suffering greatly and in such pain, and one day when the Lord calls us home we’ll be able to see Don again. As you know I was very sick these past 25 months and before Don got too ill, he was always able to take me to my doctor’s appointments and hospital checkups, as well as our weekly Bible Studies. Not only was he my mentor and tutor but gave me great Christian literature to read and study. I will miss him greatly and look forward to seeing him in Heaven. May he rest in peace as well as peace be with you and your family.
Love,
Jan, Kyong, Nathan, Justin, and Quentin Stickler
Our prayers and condolences. Dr Hanson was a very nice person.
Dr. Hanson was kind, genuine and caring. He was a bridge for many to Christ; he walked the talk. My prayer is for his wife, Sally and their children. God hold you tight! He was the best. We will miss him for a while.
