Doris May Bartley, age 91 died peacefully on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in Tacoma, WA. Doris is survived by her son, Gary Bartley; daughters, Pamela (Thomas) Favalora and Linda (Doug) Nelson; four grandchildren, Shawn Spisak, Bryan Favalora, Caryn Nelson and Laurie (Mark) Thompson; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar in 1997. Services are pending.
I miss you dearly momma, but I know you are in a better place and at peace now.. Till our paths meet again.

I miss you so much grandma. You have been such a wonderful part of my life. I will always keep our memories close to my heart. I love you more than you know.
I wrote this in your memory:

She had a heart of a thousand angels
And a heart of pure gold,
She lived her life the best way she knew,
Always with a smile to unfold;
Her life was not grand in any way,
Except for the love she shared each and every day.
First a daughter, sister, wife and friend,
Mother to grandmother her love no end.
Her spirit grew too large to contain,
Tis why she is with the Lord once again.
Although we may not see her we know she is near,
Just listen to your heart, she is always right here.
Take time to be sad and mourn our loss,
But take comfort in when it is our time,
Our paths once more shall cross.

Grandma I am going to miss you so much. The thing I am going to miss the most is seeing your smiling face when I walk in the door, ‘your sunshine’ is smiling just for you, Grandma.
