I grew up always knowing Aunt Dotty as a Bubbly Smiley aunt that I really enjoyed being around. As a child, that memory was the foundation of what being part of the Herriges clan really meant – to enjoy life!

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. I feel honored to have met her.
Dear Ju-Ju,
I will always hold your dear Mom in my heart and can’t wait to meet up with her again.
Whenever we gather together I plan to give a toast to her memory.
You should be very proud of yourself, also. You fought the good fight right by her side and I know she took note of and appreciated everything great and small that you did.
Please know that you only have to call and I’ll be there. Feel free to come over anytime. We always have room for you.
Love You,
John,Sue,Trevor & Connor
We all loved Aunt Dottie and will miss her greatly. I was especially honored to have her and Uncle Hugo as my godparents; in fact, I still have the manicure set in the red leather case that they gave me for my high school graduation MANY years ago! Dorithe will forever be my bubbly, happy, caring, and lovable aunt . I can imagine that the entire Herriges clan is having a wonderful “happy hour” in heaven in honor of her arrival! We send our sympathy and love to Judy, Richard, Ginny, Daniel, and Michael.
Judy our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your mom was a very special lady. We still hang a hand made spider on our Christmas tree that she gave Greg and I the Christmas before we were married, over 32 years ago. We had lots of laughter and good food with your family and lots of happy memories. Sorry we can’t be with you. Our thoughts will be.
I have fond memories of working with Dorithe at the American Red Cross in Seattle during the early 1980s. I was just starting out in my career, and Dorithe was the seasoned and welcoming veteran to us younger gals–always warm, upbeat and helpful. Dorithe was a wonderful, unassuming person with a big heart. I, too, was given the “good luck” spider decoration right before I was married and have displayed it for many years on our Christmas tree! My sincere condolences to Dorithe’s family.
i felt her love the only time i met her
Dear Judy and Family,
Dorithe was an inspiration on aging to us all! She was always so upbeat and joyful! She was a beautiful lady inside and out. We were so sorry to hear of her passing. We hope that the memories that may now bring tears will soon bring fond smiles. Know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
With our love,
Carol, Greg, and Family
