Dot was one of the wittiest persons I’ve ever known. She had a great sense of humor and generously shared it with others. Her laugh was infectious. Dot was always fun to be around and she had such a positive outlook on life.

When I was 14-15, she would “sneak” little snacks like candy to me, which I loved. When our families always went camping together at Wapato Point, Dot often had hot dogs for dinner. My mom always said it wasn’t a “proper dinner”. So Dot often “sneaked” me 1 or 2 hot dogs to me and I just loved her for that.

Also, a few times Dot would tell me “racy” jokes as a teenager. Although I was flattered, I was too naïve to understand the punch line!

I remember so many boating adventures with their boat “The Gay Blade”. My growing up years were intertwined with Dot. She was a truly wonderful, caring, loving person and she will be missed. I hope she has found release from the unwanted induced prison she has had to endure these past years.

I have so many wonderful memories of Dot, as she has been a lifelong friend of my family. All the boating adventures we enjoyed when I was a kid, and then the great times we all had at “The Beach”. She was always upbeat and had a great sense of humor. She was an animal lover, and always had the cutest little doggies.

Thanks Randi and Ken, for staying in touch with my family, keep it up.

We miss you Dot.

We’re sad we cannot be there,in person, to say goodbye to our dearest friend Dot. She was always “up” and full of fun and laughs. We have so many wonderful memories of many great times together. We have and will miss her very much. Our sincere sympathy to all her family.

My parents and our entire family have been friends with Dottie for probably 55 years or so. She was always such a fun person to be around; many jokes played and much laughter. One incident I remember in particular was when she turned 40 and I was about 15 and thought she was really quite old. I teased her relentlessly about her age. When I, in turn, had my 40th birthday many years later she sent several gifts all in black as a hilarious joke. My favorite is the black Christmas ornament which I will always remember her by each year when trimming the tree.

We also shared a great love of pets. She is finally free from her disease and hopefully in a better place. We will all miss her smile and laughter, but will have many fond memories.
