As one of Douglas’ youngest cousins Darlene’s youngest daughter, I will always remember days in Aunt Alma’s home in Roosevelt. While Douglas was gone from home for most of my memories, I do remember family events and many of the family stories about him. Prayers for peace and warm memories to you all.

To the Beardsley Family, May each of you find comfort in knowing that God is “near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” Psalm 34;18 He has promised to soon “swallow up death forever…and wipe the tears from all faces.” Isaiah 25;8 Take care,

My mother Darlene Petersen Hughes was a 1st cousin of Doug’s and was also born in Fergus Falls, 1930. They were childhood pals. I remember Doug from my “growing up” years in the Roosevelt district near his brother Everet’s home on Ravenna Blvd. Doug’s Air Force career brought him many joys and successes that his family can be proud of. Blessings to you all.

Warm regards, Kathy Sterling

Dear Sayoko and family,

Sorry to hear about Douglas’s passing. I have happy memories of my cousin. Especially, when we all lived in Minnesota. God bless his memory.
