Edgar Bishop GIBONEY

96, Born September 2, 1909 in Great Falls, Montana. Died January 20, 2006 in Shoreline. Survived by his wife Mary of 69 ½ years; children, Jessie May March Sandy, Edgar B. Giboney, Jr. Lora, David R. Giboney Phyllis, Patricia Howell Robert; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother George Giboney Betty. Worked for Todd Shipyards during WWII, also for Continental Can Company and retired from Washington Iron Works in 1973. Longtime resident of Three Tree Point. Served as elder in the Presbyterian Church and a member of Lake Burien Presbyterian Church. We celebrate his life, rejoicing that he is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Graveside Service, 1:30PM, Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Washington Memorial Park, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac. Remembrances suggested to Union Gospel Mission, where he volunteered for many years.

Edgar was the eldest son of my pastor as a child. It was a community event when the Pastor’s son married the local Doctor’s daughter. I remember them well from my childhood.
