Edward A. FRANGELLO TOUGH WITH A CAPITAL T! Age 86, passed away March 29, 2003. Born November 8, 1916 in South Seattle to Italian immigrant parents. Attended Cleveland High School. Army Veteran of World War II, stationed in Alaska. Ed was a firefighter at Engine Co. 13 in Seattle from 1946 to 1964; worked in Arson Investigation from 1964 until 1971; finished his career as Assistant Fire Marshall at the University of Washington from 1971 until 1979. Member of the Sons of Italy Lodge No. 1390, West Side Italian Civic Club, and Sports Club. Beloved husband for 53 years of Eva. Beloved father of Patricia Boyd, of Kirkland; Linda Frangello and husband, Shannon Lu. Brother of Angeline Guillory; Rose McManus; Josephine Huffman, of San Diego, Calif. Many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and Renzo Berra, the Beagle. Ed will be remembered for his dedication to his job as a firefighter, taking good care of his family, his strength of character throughout his life, and the fact that his word was as good as gold. On the fun side, he will also be remembered for his smile, his love of playing cards, clam digging on Whidbey Island, golfing, trips to Reno, watching the Mariners, flying the flag on holidays, flashing the ”peace” sign, his eclectic tie collection, and walking Renzo. Visitation Thursday, April 3, from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 Pacific Highway South, Sea-Tac. Family will receive guests from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Private family service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Medic One or charity of choice. Special thanks to Swedish Medical Center Intensive Care Unit and the E.R, Dr. Jim Vincent and Dr. Marc Horton, and the compassionate staff at Washington Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation for their care over the last year and a half. POPS, WE LOVE YOU AND WE WILL MISS YOU A LOT.
