Ed was a good friend and companion all through our long career at Boeing. He taught me a lot about facing cancer with dignity. He kept his sense of humor and was a good example to those who cared for him. He will be missed.

Even when dad was feeling his worst he never lost his sense of humor. He always found a way to play a joke on me and bring a smile to my face. I will miss him always and love him forever.

Ed was like a father to me and the best darn neighbor anyone could ask for. He was always watching over us throughout the many years we had the pleasure or living across the street from the Stein family. He even taught me how to play a mean game of pool which will always remind me of him especially when I make a good bank shot. My regret now is the I was not able to come visit Ed before his passing and let him know how much he meant to me as I had planned. At least I have the comfort of knowing the he knew that I did call a few times and that I deeply cared! I loved you like a father Mr. Stein and my visits home won’t be the same without you there!!
