Obituary
On Sunday, December 18, 2022, Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Keppler, the light of our lives, passed away at the age of 85.
Betty was born the youngest of three in Fort Benton, Montana on July 24, 1937, to Henry and Ruby Bartleson. She moved with her family to Burien, WA when she was seven, and graduated from Highline High School in 1955. Intelligent and industrious, she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for several law firms, non-profits, manufacturing, and construction companies. However, her true calling was as a homemaker. On December 23, 1966, she married Donald Keppler, and they raised one son.
Although challenged with hearing and sight disabilities, she was determined to lead an active life, and enjoyed hiking, camping, skiing, canoeing, and travelling with her family. She was extremely creative and talented artistically and enjoyed painting, rosemaling, etched glass, stained glass, quilting, sewing, and cooking. She was friendly to all she met, and will always be remembered for her cheerful outlook, gentle spirit, kind heart, warm smile, and joyful laugh. Even though she experienced many ups and downs in her life, she had an unwavering faith in God and His goodness.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Henry, her mother, Ruby, her sister Beverly, and her brother, Robert. She is survived by her husband, Donald, her son, Kirk (Alicia), her three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday January 6, 2023, at Center Point Church at 2041 South 66th St. in Tacoma at 2 o’clock p.m.
