Ella Christophersen

July 13, 1930 - May 24, 2015

Obituary

Ella Christophersem, age 84, of Richmond Beach Washington, left our world to go dancing with her husband Jack, May 24, 2015.

She was the only girl and the youngest born into a house on Swede Heaven road just outside Darrington Washington, July 13, 1930 to parents Victor and Agnes Carlson, brothers, Art (Jobyna), Ivor (Jeanne), Rudy (Ulla) and dear cousin Verner(Ruth) Hoglund.

After the family moved to South Seattle in 1942, Ella graduated from Highline high school in 1948 and shortly after, married Jack Christophersen in April of 1950. She was a homemaker and faithful and loving wife and mother of two Dale and Victoria. Jack and Ella celebrated their 50th Wedding anniversary in April of 2000 in the same house they bought when they were married.

After the untimely loss of her husband, Ella left her home in South Seattle and in 2004 moved to Richmond Beach, easily making new and endearing friends. The part of Seattle she raised her family in, however never left her and she would drive down to the old neighborhood weekly to have coffee with the Southcenter walkers and also go dancing and listen to her favorite music at the Muckleshoot Casino.

Her many loves through life included: Music, dancing, road trips, camping, and waterskiing and being with friends and family. Her favorite place, where memories live, was a special campsite on Baker Lake although her life’s travels took her all over Europe and the US and Canada including many trips on Stan & Barbara Boreson Tours.

Ella is survived by son Dale and daughter Vicki (Ralph), Grandchildren Jesse, Nickolas (Amy), Lindsay and great grandchildren Sienna and Jacksen, dear niece Jane (Bill) Placeck, Jobyna Carlson-Carpenter sister-in-law, sister-in-law Ulla Carlson, sister-in-law Gladys (Bert) Carlson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to the Coffee Crew at Richmond Beach and the very caring staff at “For Seniors Sake”, the Richmond Beach rehabilitation center, Dr. Victor Erlich and Evergreen Hospice.

“I am always with you, every beautiful place you see, think of me”

Service will be held Sunday, June 28th at 1:30 PM at Bonney-Watson Funeral Home, 16455 International Boulevard, Sea Tac, Washington 98188
