Esther Delores O’Neal, a beloved family member and friend, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 96. She was born on January 1, 1928, in Mandan, North Dakota, to John and Anna (Olsen) Schauss and was the youngest of fourteen siblings: Marie, Minnie, John, Lillie, Estella, Clifford, Alton, Benjamin, Anna, Joseph, David, Paul, Daniel, and Evelyn.
Esther married Clifford O’Neal on January 1, 1950. He passed away on April 29, 1979.
She worked for many years in Central Services at Swedish Hospital, retiring on July 1, 1991. Esther was known for her generosity and kindness, often baking sweet treats for her neighbors and sharing her warmth with those around her.
She is survived by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and even great-great and great-great-great-nieces and nephews. Esther’s legacy of care and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A viewing will be available before the service on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at:
