Obituary
Ethel Elizabeth Belden passed away 4 April 2012 in the comfort of her own home in Burien Washington she was 97. born in Bering, Washington she lived a full life through church and family teaching Sunday School for nearly 65 years, delivering flowers to nursing home patients and meeting weekly with a group of women to put cards together for missionaries in Africa. For those of us who knew her we will remember her smile, jokes, woohoo’s, unconditional love and so much more. We should also feel comfort knowing the evening before she passed the sky above gave us a rainbow. Ethel is survived by her son Ted Brandstetter, daughters Darlene Graddon, and Sylvia Kingsbury. Grandchildren Bradley, Teddy, Tim, Jenny, Monica, Gina, Lenna, Matthew, Lindsey, Rebecca and Chris. Great grandchildren Nicholas, Trevor, Seth, Brenon, Chris, Alex, Ireland, Aiden, Mei, Tristin, Samuel, J.T. And Austin.
Her favorite joke:
How do you get down from an elephant? You don’t.. You get down from a goose!
Her favorite funny story:
Grandma Ethel and Grandpa Chris loved to visit Norway.. Ethel had to laugh when she saw signs on the highway that said don’t fart! (Fart in Norwegian means speed) Also she was so embarrassed when she asked grandpa’s sister where he was and the sister replied ” he went to take a douche!” (Douche in Norwegian means shower)
Forever in our hearts, because of you, we will be ok.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you celebrate Ethels life. Sylvia- know that she is in Gods house now and telling those funny stories and making new ones there. What a wonderful lady she seemed to be. She gave us a great grandson in law, through the family line, Nick. Hang in there, give all a hug and kiss from us, and keep one for yourself.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all!!!! She lived such a long fulfilling life and now is sitting at the right hand of our Lord and Savior!!! She had so much spunk and an undying sense of humor!! She will always be apart of some of my fondest memories!!! Love you all and God Bless!!!
I would like to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your loved one. Death is one of the most difficult things we face in life but may it comfort you to know that others care. I have found great encouragement when reading the beautiful words penned in the Bible at Isaiah 25:8 “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces.” May this promise bring your family comfort in this difficult time.
although one may be gone in the flesh, one will always be remembered within the spirit.opening your home with care and concern, offering meal is what you did for me and I thankyou for your generosity.i enjoyed the time we shared in going to church with you and im happy for you that your in better and safer place-I send my love to you!
