Obituary

Eugene Victor Gray, 66, passed away on November 12, 2024, in SeaTac, Washington. Born on October 21, 1958, in Los Angeles, California, Eugene spent most of his life amid the beautiful landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, a region he treasured deeply.

Eugene proudly served his country as a United States Marine for six years, where his commitment and resilience were as evident as in every other aspect of his life. After his honorable discharge, he embarked on a successful career as a Project Manager in Construction, earning respect for his strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering dedication. He brought his skills and expertise to numerous projects, enhancing homes and communities nationwide.

Beyond his professional life, Eugene was a man of many interests. He was an avid baseball fan, a passion that saw him spending afternoons playing to the best of his ability or cheering on his favorite teams. His love for fishing and the outdoors provided him with moments of peace and reflection, while his culinary skills were a source of joy for his family and friends. Eugene was also a magnificent gardener, his garden a testament to his patience and dedication to the beauty of the world around him.

Deeply proud of his Chickasaw heritage, Eugene honored his ancestors by embracing their legacy and weaving it into the fabric of his family’s story. He took pride in sharing this connection and ensuring it continued to inspire future generations.

Eugene’s personality was as vibrant as the gardens he tended. He was a character in every sense of the word—charming, spirited, and full of life, a true friend who touched everyone he met with his warmth and humor.

He is survived by his loving wife Pamela; children Joshua, Amanda, Victoria, and Lucas; sisters Sharon, Kim, and Victoria; nieces Hannah and Tory; and grandchildren Adalynn, Annie, and Augustine. He was preceded in death by his sister Pamela.

In keeping with Eugene’s wishes, there will be no formal memorial services. Instead, he asked that friends and family honor his memory by cracking open a beer the next time they go fishing. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2025, where loved ones will gather to celebrate his incredible life and enduring legacy.

Arrangements are being handled by Bonney Watson in SeaTac, Washington. Eugene’s life was one of vibrant engagement, steadfast devotion, and enduring love. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
