As I sit here while just loosing one Grandmother and decided to look and see if the Grandmother I never knew only talked to, is still with us only to find that she is not. I breaks my heart to find out this way. I wanted everyone to know that My Grandma Minnick also has a Grand-daughter and three Great-grandsons that will miss her eventho they never recieved the chance to get to know her. My thoughts and heart are with you Grandma.

I talked with David last night and he told me about your mother. I’m so sorry to hear that she passed away. It’s never easy to lose your mother; it doesn’t matter how old you are.

Your mom always had time and patience with me and that wasn’t always easy. I remember all the rides to and from school and the trecks down to Coleman Pool in the summer. My mom was at work and I appreciate that I was able to share yours. Know that you are in my thoughts as you often are, and that your pain is understood.

Love, Helen

Dear Jackie and Bob:

I was saddened to learn of your mother’s death. I have such wonderful memories of her. And those memories involve the attention that she paid to the children in the neighborhood. She listened to us–giving us a sense of importance even though we were children. And I remember her laughter when, during an outing to the Seattle Center, she was the only one in our group whose name could not be guessed by the clown. He just could not guess the name of “Herbie”.

I hope that the memories of your mother bring comfort during this difficult time. And I hope that the concern and love from your friends provide support to you.

Sincerely, David Warren
