I miss sitting at the table surrounded by butterflies and talking with my Great Aunt Fern. She was such an amazing lady, full of love and warmth. I am so thankful for the time I had with her.
During this time of the year she would have her house filled with her collection of dancing santas, and my daughter, Chelsea, remembers the remote controlled Christmas animal band in the window sill and the glass ornaments on the tree. She would have candy dishes full of a wide variety of flavors that she would encourage us to take…one of each flavor. What beautiful memories we have with her.
I love you Aunt Fern…we all did.
Grandma,
I just want you to know how much you meant to me. Because of everything you’ve done for me as a child to a grown woman, you helped me become the person I am and I can’t thank you for that.
From teaching me how to shave my legs and buying silly boy band CD’s and dancing to helping me get a college education, so I could be a teacher. You picked me up when I fell and bruised my knees, you patched up my beloved “blankie” many, many times.
But most of all, you loved me and on the day I called you to tell you I was going to be a Mommy, you cried and said you were so proud of me.
I will love you and miss you forever. My heart is sad that you’re not here, you’re our family compass, but I know that you’d all want us to be together and play some kings and have a good time.
I love you, Granny.
We will all miss our dear Aunt Fern. But her smile and love will be with us always. And we are grateful for that.
Our prayers are with our dear Aunt Fern’s family. She was such a witty and lovable lady. I remember offering her a tour or a ride on the ship I commanded. She refused to get on anything that wasn’t solid under her feet! Uncle Bob and Aunt Fern’s name for me was “Skipper”. We love her. Bob “the Skipper” Conder
We are so sorry for your loss. Fern was a beautiful woman and a wonderful Granny to the girls.
Love,
Mark and Rochelle
