Flossie Emily Rodin, age 94, died peacefully on Sunday, January 30, 2011 in Renton. Flossie was born on August 9th, 1916 in Brewster, NE. She was employed by the Pacific Car and Foundry Co retiring in 1980. She is survived by her sisters, Freda Swaisgood and Annabeth Gullingsrud; nephews Jack and Dick Swaisgood, Herb, Ken and Bruce Gullingsrud and niece, Karen Boyd. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Leroy Rodin in 1973 and her brother Albert Bud Leep. Viewing will be held on Friday, February 4th from 9-11:30 am. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 12:30 pm at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA. 206 242-1787.
For a special friend of sixty years, we have wonderful memories of working with her at PCF. When we were only in our 20s she took us under her wings. She will be missed and our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
Was introduced to Flossie through a colleage over 12 years ago who had worked with her many years ago at Paccar. A wonderful woman who cared deeply about her family and her community. I enjoyed helping her and spending time with her.
