FLOYD BENDICKSON
Floyd Bendickson was born March 2, 1929 in Devils Lake, ND. He died January 19, 2017 at his home in West Seattle, WA surrounded by his family.
He was married to Sylvia, the love of his life, for 46 years. Sylvia preceded Floyd in death in 2005. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Duayne Bendickson and his parents Emil and Margaret Bendickson.
Survived by a nephew Steve Bendickson, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ken and Rayetta Montgomery and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Kerm and Kathy Montgomery, niece Janice (Bob) Pacific, niece Kelly (Nat) Ceglio and nephew Ken Montgomery.

So sad to hear the passing of our good friend. He and I worked together in Hawaii, and kept in touch all the years after. We were at the house just a week before Sylvia passed. Been calling cell and house, with no response, my worst fear. When we talked last he seemed fine,which normally was at least Monthly. Sorry we missed His service. He will always be remembered, our good times, with work and the love of cars. Terry& Evelyn peters.
I hope anyone who reads this will know that after Aunt Sylvia’s passing, all Uncle Floyd wanted was to be with her. He was responsible for much of my upbringing. I will always take his and Sylvia’s memory with me wherever I go. Especially on the next wave I catch or fast car I drive. Aloha to all who knew and loved them.
How sad to find out that my friend of over 30 years is gone. He will finally be with Sylvia again. Floyd, Sylvia and I shared so many interests together. Both of them were so good to me through the years. I know Floyd just wanted to be with Sylvia since the time of her passing. I still have the Kawasaki they sold me. Floyd called me and told me to by the bike. He and Sylvia knew I would remain as custodian of a memory they both loved.
I left a message on Floyd’s voice mail on his birthday then again a week later. I will miss you both. I can also rejoice in the fact that you are together again.
We are so sad to hear of Floyd’s passing. He & Sylvia were among our closest friends when we all lived in Hawaii. We had so much fun getting together for such things as tennis, car racing & meeting after work for dinner. Such a wonderful couple — we are so blessed to have known them.
I walk past Floyd’s house all the time. I met him on a cold winter when power was out and he was so kind and nice to talk to I had brought him chicken noodle soup and cornbread after that we were friends he would drive by my house and give me a beep beep and a smile all the time. My husband and I lived close to him. I had not seen him in what seems like forever …. so I finally looked up his name. What a good guy he shared pictures of love of his life and newspaper articles. She was truly the. Love of his Life. I’m sad I missed his service.
