Floyd O. Hall
September 5, 1918 - May 26, 2004
Obituary
FLOYD O. HALL, age 85, died May 26, 2004 at his home after a brief illness. Born to Oscar and Anna Hall in Fargo, N.D. on Sept. 5, 1918, the family moved to Seattle when he was 5. Floyd graduated from West Seattle High School in 1936 and worked for Fairbanks Morse for 22 years, followed by employment with Polson Co. and Papsco, Inc. In 1977 he formed a partnership creating Hydra-Tech, Inc. Floyd’s mechanical skills and reliable sense of humor were valued by all. His unlimited patience was always evident as he participated in family activities. He introduced the family to hydro racing as a spectator and then became a crew participant with his sons as they entered the sport. A favorite break in his daily routine was having friends and family join him for “a couple swallows of coffee”. A loving and caring husband, dad and grandpa, Floyd is survived by his wife of 61 years, Vera; 2 sons, Randy Christine and Doug Joan Hall; one daughter, Pam Hall and 2 grandchildren, Neil and Shea Taisey. Commemorative Service will be held on Friday 6/4/04, 12:30 pm at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd. SeaTac. WA 206 242-1787. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
We were so sorry to hear about your recent loss and want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
Bob and Ruth Alford
My sympathies to all of you in your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
I was very sorry to hear of your loss. Take care —
My deepest sympathy for the
wife and family of Floyd Hall. He was such a wonderful husband and devoted father. I met Floyd and Vera in the early 70’s and they were such
good people. I was a divorced
mother with three kids and Floyd and Vera were always so
kind and caring. I know he is
in a special place in heaven.
God bless his family and help
them to endure.
Our sympathies to the family
I met Floyd when he came to work at Polson Co. He was a hard worker and always had a smile for all. I was proud to call him a friend and associate.
Rest well Floyd
Floyd was a fine man. We will all miss his gentle humor. I worked with Vera at Puget Sound Jr. High for 9 years and my daughter Cheri Sellars worked with Floyd at Polson.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.
My thoughts and sympathies are with you Vera and your family. I first met Floyd when I worked at Polson Co. back in the 70’s. It was such a coincidence to find myself a couple of desks away from Vera’s husband when I had known her as my mother’s coworker for several years.
Floyd was such a nice person and will be missed by so many.
