I hadn’t been in touch with Freda for many years and thought I would let her know that Toi Tineiafi, my husband, had passed away in December 2010. When I tried to locate her I found this site. My late, but deepest sympathy to Freda’s family. She was a wonderful woman, an incredible friend, and one very special lady. I shall always remember her singing “Masquerade”. Whenever we were together when she was performing, she would look out in the audience at me, give me a big smile and a wink, and start singing. Good bye dear friend – – I hope that we will meet again.

Freda I miss you so much right now. For me it has been hard. I can’t get the memory of you when I last seen you alive. My friend Jessica Griffith died October 18th, 2010 and it reminded me of you. The last time time I seen you was when I kissed your forehead at your open casket. You never told me you loved to sing. I found that out when my grama Amy and Randi were there and heard your singing on the intercom. We moved out of that house about a year ago now. I wish to go back to that house someday and go into our old room. I feel that at night I can still hear you screaming in your nightmares. I miss our noodle slurping contest’s with dewayne walker. I forgot to mention that he moved to a different state too, we hardly talk anymore. I know you might never be able to read this but I feel as if you are with me right now, like your down stairs whatching wheel of fortune with my grama. Your favorite show. I miss how at 2 in the morning if I was crying you didn’t care what time it was, you would still hold me until you could see the sun rising up over the mountain’s. I’m growing up now and things are changing. My mom and I don’t have a strng relationship and it’s times like these I miss you even more. There were even times that when we drove by our old house, I imagined you were sitting in your chair with that green and brown robe you would wear everywhere. I still can’t get that night out of my head where you fell back in our drive way and me and grama had to rush you to the hospital, when my mom came to et me I refused to get into the car because I wanted to know if you were alright. I’m 13 now as of November 21st 2010, I still have the neckelace you got me from my birthday back in 2008 too. There is more I can write about but down here on earth it is 11:51 P.M! I hope you are not in pain anymore and I hope you get the chance to read this. I wish you could show me a sign that I know your still whatching over me. You will be my Guardian Angel. I Love You Freda Vaai Toilolo and never forget that.

Love Always, Morgan Liann Veres

Freda was the most happy, upbeat person I’ve ever known. It was nice how we met. We use to work together in the bakery, and as we grew closer as friends we learned that we were closer than we thought. Her and my dad use to play together and do shows in there early twenties. I just want her to know that I love and miss her dearly. Her laugh, her smile, her personality, and always happy spirit. I wish I would have been able to spend a little more time with her. But I know she’s in a better place. I will always remember you Freddie! = Love you always, Liz

What an honor to have known Freda…the only woman I know who sang “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” at a karaoke bar, in the middle of the year. And the only woman who can sing “Crazy”, by Patsy Cline, better than Patsy! :

I love you Auntie Freda. I have very fond memories of you, during our visit in Seattle. Karaoke and riding in your new red Lexus! You’ll always be remembered. Rest in Love.

To the family; May the Lord comfort everyone during this time of mourning. Love you guys!!

In God’s Love,

Tawnya Tia
