Obituary

Gabriel “Gabe” Alberto PIGOTTI

 1978 ~ 2012

Gabriel Alberto Pigotti, “Gabe”, beloved son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend to so many, left this world for the next on May 24, 2012 to be with his father Gilberto. He passed away in peace and without suffering, doing what he loved. Gabriel was born on July 12, 1978 in Burien, Washington and attended Shorewood Elementary, St. Bernadette, Kennedy High School and Bellevue Community College. He grew up in Shorewood on the Sound. Gabe was full of life, humor, and passion for life and love for his friends and family. At age 14 he began his first entrepreneurial venture in landscaping with the business savvy of someone with 3 times his age. Through his steadfast ways he was able to produce a profit and reach his goal of purchasing his first car. Cars quickly became a passion for him and he spent the rest of his life thoroughly enjoying Ferraris and collecting model cars. Gabriel was also an avid boater and enjoyed entertaining friends and family on board. His passion for cooking, and putting his artistic abilities to use, he frequently entertained in his home and at others’ homes. Always the center of the action with his vivacious, charismatic, magnetic personality, Gabe could easily put a smile on everyone’s face and bring laughter and joy to the entire room. A kid at heart, he lived life with enthusiasm and fearlessness. Gabriel was a partner at Gibraltar LLC, where he worked beside his brother Gerry for over ten years. He is survived by his mother, Elida Pigotti, his brother, Gerry Pigotti and Gerry’s wife, Kristi and their two boys, Gavin & Nicholas Pigotti, Gabriel’s nephews, and all his friends he called family. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to the Gabriel Pigotti Memorial Fund at Our Lady of Fatima School or to Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Elida and family-I am so sorry about Gabe’s death. I remember when he and Kyle would play in the back yard on the swingset and whiffle ball on the deadend behind the house. Seems like yesterday. Gabe always had a winning smile and a wave when I would see him. I have been thinking about your family and how sad this is to have lost a child, there are no words. Prayers to your family on this sad day.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your loved one. Death is one of the most difficult things we face in life but may it comfort you to know that others care. I have found great encouragement when reading the beautiful words penned in the Bible at Isaiah 25:8 “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces.” May this promise bring you comfort in this difficult time.

I still think of Gabe often. Gabe was a kind and honest young man, and very sweet, too. The loss of Gabe, as a friend in business, was so difficult. My own daughter was about the same age and died of cancer a few months after Gabe so tragically died. A difficult year, and years to follow.
Elida & Gerry, I am so sorry for your loss. We didn’t get a choice, we learn to live without them, and have the hope of seeing them again in heaven. What a great reunion that will be!
