Love you Dad! Smooth waters, Blue skies and tail winds.
Reading George’s obit brought back a flood of Three Tree Point memories. George and Betty were great neighbors and very successful parents. Blessings to Betty and Family.
Gpa Giboney is the best Gpa anyone could ever ask for. Very happy memories playing tennis at the Dunes, commercial fishing, crossing the Strait of Juan de Fuca & into Canada for weeks at a time. I will never forget how unselfish you were and made sure Brett, Jenny, and I always had a good time. You are in my heart always Gpa.
I feel very fortunate to have had such a great dad. I have never known anyone as unselfish, honest, and kind hearted as him. I spent a lot of time working with him on many projects growing up. He was always available to help his family and really enjoyed working with his boys. He will always be remembered and missed.
Dad was the son of a Presbyterian minister Ezra Peabody Giboney and was raised as a devout Christian. In his younger years his social life revolved around church activities and sports at Foster High School. That is where he met Betty Rose Uttendorfer, the love of his life. On Dec 7th 1941 he was with Betty when they learned about the attack on Pearl Harbor. They became engaged on that day and married on June 12th, 1942. Beginning a life together that spanned 71 + years. Together they always managed to be a shining example for us children. Dad and Mom instilled a strong work ethic in all of us children and they were our moral compass as we grew up. We couldn’t have asked for better parents and Dad, you were a good and kind man. May God bless your soul and may you live in the kingdom of heaven watching over the legacy you left on earth. We will try to live by your example and we will never forget you.
George , A kind generous special man !
I remember George as a quiet kind man. I was around him mostly at many family get-togethers. He had a calm presence and I admired him as he watched his family at these gatherings. I am a proud aunt of Brian, Brett and Jenny. I know Brian and Brett will contine to raise their families modeling their father and grandfather.
