George was a kindly, soft spoken man, always with a friendly smile and handshake. I cherish the memories of the chats we had. I will miss him and he will be missed by many friends. A man like George doesn’t come into one’s life very often and I’m glsd he came into mine. God bless him.

I didn’t get to see Uncle George a lot over the years, but on those occasions when I visited him in Seattle, he was always gracious and interested in others.

My Mom and Dad Elmer & Elsie Hoff were no longer able to visit him the last couple of years because of health problems, but one of the highlights of their summers each year when they could travel was their annual visit to see Uncle George, Esther when she was still living, and my brother in Washington. He always had an idea of something unique for my ”farmer” and ”land-locked” parents to see.
