DAVIS, GEORGE, Age 86, born Feb. 22, 1920 in Summerville, S.C. P{assed away peacefully Tues., Nov. 14th in Seattle. He was preceded in death earlier this year, by his loving wife of 60 years, Albertina. His sister also is predeceased. George is survived by his 2 children, Sherel Sly Jones, Denise Edward Haley, both of Seattle, his sister Earline Herbert Washington of New York, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 nephews. George was a retired Naval Officer having served 30 years of active and reserve duty. He was also a Civil Service employee through the US Postal Services, retiring in 1976. Visitation at Bonney Watson 1732 Broadway on Fri. and Sat. 10AM-8PM and Sunday 10AM-5PM. The funeral service will be MOnday, 11/20/06 at 10:00 AM A graveside service with full Navy honors will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, where George will be laid to rest next to his wife.
