George Edward Oldfield, age 69, died peacefully Saturday, March 13, 2010 in Sequim, WA. George is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jeanette; sons, James D. Julie and David S. Oldfield; two grandchildren, Austin and Spencer; mother, Edna Pauline Oldfield; mother-in-law, Alice Lombardi; sister, Janice Irene Avery; one nephew, Tim and one niece, Shelly. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheryl C. Oldfield. George proudly served with the US Navy from 1959 through 1969. He worked with the Seattle Fire Department from 1970 through 1996 then with the Clallam County Fire Protection district 4 where he was the Fire Commissioner from 2000 to 2008. Services will be held on Thursday, March 18th at 10:00 am with reception to follow at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA. 206 242-1787. Military honors and committal will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA Thursday at 1:30 pm. Please sign the guest book at www.bonneywatson.com.
