George Louis Blomberg

George L. Blomberg, age 86, passed away on April 29, 2008, in Kennewick, WA.
He was born on October 8, 1921 in Yakima, Washington to Edward and Hulda Blomberg. On April 15, 1950, he married Frances M. Hansen Kamps in Portland, Oregon. He had a 37 year career with Northwest Airlines in Yakima, Portland and Seattle. While raising his family in Seattle, he was very active in the Saint Philomena Parish, the Knights of Columbus, St Vincient dePaul and Kennedy High School. George moved to Kennewick in 2004.
George is survived by his son, George G. Blomberg and wife Debbie and granddaughter Kari of Seattle, daughter, Mary and husband Dave Blomberg, granddaughters Karin and Laura, grandson Adam of Kennewick and Daughter Lori and husband Greg Paine, granddaughters Therese, Michele and grandson Joe of Puyallup.
George is also survived by his sister Alice DeAvila of Mazatlan, Mexico.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Bonney-Watson Federal Way, 1535 SW Dash Point Rd, Federal Way, WA 98023 on Sunday, April 4, at 5:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St Philomena on Monday, April 5, at 10:00 a.m. with a luncheon following in the parish hall. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery 37600 Pacific Hwy. South, in Federal Way after the luncheon.

George I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. As I watch so many of my friends and classmates from JFK lose their parents I cherish every

day that I still have my parents all the more. I pray that you will get through this difficult time knowing God’s love for you and your family.
