We were just there at Georges, and had no idea that George had passed away back in November. We are very saddened, as we loved talking to George about various things. We will always remember George throughout the years of coming to the restaurant.

We will always love George.

Dear Mrs. M, Athena, John, Pete & families

From our family to yours – lots of love peace and strength.

Since our boys were babies, George welcomed us to his place. Being new to WA state, George’s was one of the first places we could call our own special place to visit. George and all of you always stopped by to welcome us. We feel part of your extended family. That was his gift to us and we’re thankful.

We’ll miss George and his happy attitude.

God Bless you all.

MY family is so saddened by the passing of our friend George. In the 30+yrs of going to the restaurant he and his family became our “greek family”.We have been shown nothing but love from George and his family in our own times of grief and will be forever grateful for george and his family. He had a very unique way of enfolding you in his family and he showed us his life in Greece by the way he treated you and most of all cooked for us. What a family.I know he will never be forgotten and I know my family in heaven will be so glad to see him so they can get some good “George’s food”again.rest in peace my friend..god be with you.

My family ate at George’s restaurant for 30+ years. We saw the children grow up and said hello to George and his wife every time we were there. What a wonderful family. George will be missed by many. My deepest sympathy.

It was inspiring to hear George’s answer to Froni’s question “what would you change about your life”….to say “nothing, it was perfect” is a true testament to how all of us should live our lives. You are all so lucky to have had such a wonderful man in your lives. God bless you and dear George. The Hurley Family – Regan, Chris, Jane & George

George, his family/restaurant, has been part of our family since he opened in the 70’s. He was SO kind to my father, Nick Dallas – and to all four of my children; Jim, Stephanie, Marcia & Angela. They grew up here – and we will cherish his memory for eternity. Rest in Peace you wonderful human being. What a privilege to have known you -and we will never forget you.

What can I say? George was an outstanding human being….I never saw him cranky, mad, ill-tempered – he always had the time for us: May his wonderful wife, children and grand children cherish all that was so good about George. Kirkland just won’t be the same anymore. Eternal be his memory.Hugs ‘n Kisses – ‘Cleoni’

George was a special and a “one of a kind” person. He loved everyone, but especially Froni & his family. He was very, very proud of his family and very proud of George’s Place. I will miss him and his smile.

George gave me my first job. He handed me a pen and pad and said, “go!” through his serious, yet playful smile. He paved the way for me. Allowing me to become independent. Always sharing his stories old and new, George never seemed to have a “bad day”. My daughters, myself and husband will always have you in our hearts. Thanks for all the memories and taking care of all of us, all these years. You will be missed.

What a true pleasure to have known and worked for such an incredibly patient and loving man. George hired me as a waitress at age 15. He was so patient and understanding. He always had something funny to say or a wise-crack to share. We will all dearly miss you but cherish the memories of knowing you. Se agapo.

George: We came to Kirkland about the same time as your family. Both of us have watched the kids grow up, spending many evenings at sport practices and games together. Now the kides have wed and we both have grandchildren. It has been a good live and I am sure you would say the same. We were very fortinate to have choosen Kirkland as our home. Otherwise I would have never known you!

I will miss your friendly face and maybe a joke at the Cafe where you always cooked the “very best” breakfast anywhere.

I am proud to have known you George!

May the peace of the Lord be with you!

Your friend,

Gary Johnson

Froni,John,Pete & Athina,

I remember meeting your Father at your restaurant when Athina was 9 and working the cash register. I fell in love with your family then and love you to this day. Froni, your children and my daughters Lisa and Jennifer grew up together and I feel like we are family. Know you are loved by so many who share your grief. Angel wings around your family at this time of tremendous loss. Kirkland has truly lost a wonderful friend and you, the love of your life. He will always be there for your family, just look inside your heart. In deepest sympathy.
