George R Ferrara

Obituary
To our deep regret George R Ferrara, beloved husband, father and grandfather, teacher, mentor and friend to many, was called from this earth on December 14, 2016. A multi-talented, unforgettable man, he loved challenges, and with a twinkle in his eyes was able to fix, repair and make just about anything work. His creative side was displayed in his extraordinary photography. He freely and willingly shared his knowledge and taught anyone who was interested in learning to take better pictures. He is and always will be greatly missed by all, family and friends alike.
In a private ceremony he was interred with full military honors, yet his spirit will never leave us, and the love lives on.
Well my friend, your departure was way too soon and I terribly miss our frequent calls and time together. I was not ready for this and truly wish you hadn’t gone home so soon. Rest assured that I will look after Heidi to the extent that she needs and allows. Thanks for all you shared and freely gave; you were like none other. God speed.

George was a good friend, he always had something to say about everything and everybody. I was associated with George at the UW. He already had another career before I knew him. He had a brilliant mind and remembered everything. I will deeply miss him and never forget him.
Bless his soul.
I met George a couple of years ago through the Puget Sound Camera Club. He was always cheerful and he posted amazingly creative photos. I asked him photography questions a number of times and he was very patient in answering and gave me good tips with that twinkle in his eye. Sorry I didn’t know him better and longer.
