Obituary

In memory of George Wyatt Stevens on his passing April 18, 2006 surrounded by his wife and family.

George was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan, Canada and lived most of his early years in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta. While working for the Boeing Company in Vancouver, British Columbia he was transferred to Seattle, Washington.

In June of 1945 he joined the United States Army where he specialized in Air Plane maintenance. Following the war he continued in Aeronautical Engineering for the Boeing Company. George retired in 1990 from Boeing after 48 years.

George had many interests and gave 200% to all his past-times. He made life long friends as an avid bowler. He loved hunting, fishing, and boating. During retirement George put his engineering skills to use by working on computers for himself and many friends.

George was a lifetime member of the Masons. He was a member of the following lodges: South Gate Lodge No.100 F. +AM, Triple au Chapter No. 66 RAM, Seattle Council No.6 R+SM, Rainier Commandry No. 28 KC, Nile Shriners AAO NMS.

George is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Marion, his son Michael Sue of Auburn, daughter Jan of Las Vegas, Nevada, his grand-daughters Leah and Erin Stevens and grandson, Akira Bannai.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association. A Private family memorial will be held at a later date.
