Gerry was a kind, giving man and we cherish our friendship with him. Thank you to the Nakata family for welcoming us and our children, Shannon and Andrew, into your lives. I am so sorry for your loss. Love and Aloha.
Sincere condolences to your family. Memories from the past 70 years ago as we played as childhood friends. Gerry lived in Akepo Lane and my family lived in the next Robello Lane in Palama. Looking at a photo taken circa 1944 at a birthday party for my cousin in Haleiwa in which Gerry is sitting as an eight-year old…lots of fond memories.

To All the Nakata Family,
In one sense there is no death. The life of a soul on earth lasts beyond his departure. You will always feel that life touching yours, that voice speaking to you, that spirit looking out of other eyes, talking to you in the familiar things he touched, worked with, loved as familiar friends. He lives on in your life and in the lives of all others that knew him. –Angelo Patri.
With deepest sympathy……..
