Geraldine “Gerri” Ann Price died December 3rd, at Vineyard Park assisted living facility of heart failure.
Born February 23, 1944 to Anna E and Charles H. Whitney in Rockford, Illinois. The family moved to Washington where Gerri graduated from Port Townsend High School 1962.
She married her brother Kermit Whitney’s friend, Jesse W. Miller in 1965. The couple moved to North Bend July 17, 1967 and had two children Charles M. Miller in February 1968 and Robert W Miller November 1969. Gerri worked as a part time hair dresser at Curt’s Hair Styling in Snoqualmie while Jesse worked at Echo Glen’s Children Center. The couple divorced in 1985.
In May 1989, she married Earle D. Price of Fall City, her son Robert’s friend Mark’s father after a courtship, creating a blended family residing in North Bend. Gerri continued to work as a hair stylist in Snoqualmie while Earle worked for Seattle City water department.
The couple retired and moved to Ellensburg, WA in 1994 and again to Gold Bar, WA in 2004. During 2021 the couple moved to Vineyard Park assisted living in Montlake Terrace, WA with Earle passing shortly after. Gerri continued residing there suffering from Alzheimer’s and a failing heart until she passed December 3, 2023.
Surviving is her sister Janice of Port Townsend, sons Charles of Tacoma, Washington, Robert of Detroit Michigan along with her step children Mark of Connecticut, Reid of Sultan and Susan of Bellevue Washington.
So sorry for your loss, Geri was a wonderful lady I met her when we attended church together a few years ago. Always kind and very fun to visit with.
Sorry for your loss Mark. Grieve well my friend. Praying for all involved with this loss .I’m attending another memorial service the same day in Puyallup for a friend who just recently lost her mother. Hope you’re doing well considering all things.
I’m thankful to have know Gerri since 1966 and was close to the blended family through your formative years of worshiping together at Preston Baptist Church. I sorrow with you over the loss of my friend, your wonderful Mom. Sending love to all and hope to see you Saturday to honor her at the Memorial service.
