Geraldine ‘Gerry’ M. Brubaker
Gerry was born September 17, 1921 in Marysville, Washington to Leslie and Ruth Lashua Hawley. She died February 25, 2009 in Federal Way, Washington at the age of 87 years. Gerry was a homemaker who raised 7 children. She was a lifetime member of Masonic Organizations, Amaranth and Eastern Star.
Beloved wife of Thomas C. Brubaker, Jr., who preceded her in death in Oct. 1998. She is survived by her children Connie Mayor, Tom Brubaker III, Pat McCurdy, Bev Brubaker, Ginger Osborn, Ray Brubaker, and Barbara Fugere. She was the last surviving member of her 7 Hawley siblings. Gerry is also survived by her 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Gerry’s life will be on Sunday, March 1st, from 2:00-5:00pm at the Pyramid Masonic Center, 1700 South 340th, Federal Way, WA 98003. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Amaranth Diabetes Research Fund, C/O Grand Secretary, Bonnie McCroskey, P.O. Box 12555, Mill Creek, WA 98082. We love you mom very much. We miss you very much already. Please tell Dad hello and we love him as well. Thanks for the snow the morning after you went to meet Dad and the rest of the family who have preceeded you in passing.
GERRY WAS A SPECIAL LOVING AND CARING PERSON AND I WAS PROUD TO HAVE KNOWN HER. I CAME HERE LAST SUMMER TO LIVE WITH HER SON RAY AND MY SISTER TRISH, AND she befriended me from the very beginning and I will cherish that and the memories forever.
