GERARD “JERRY” FARULA

Born in Brooklyn, New York, on November 25, 1927, died on August 24, 2005, in Seattle at the age of 77 years. Along with his wife, they raised their family in Long Island, New York, before moving to the Seattle area 10 years ago. Jerry served in the U.S. Marines during WWII, serving with the occupied forces in China. An avid musician, he played in the Marine Band, The Wheelhouse Dixie Band, the Renton City Concert Band, and the Evergreen Concert Band. He excelled at carpentry, and was an active member of the Sons of Italy and West Side Italian Club. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Rosalie, Burien; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Rob Bruce, Seattle, and one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Minna Farula, Solna, Sweden; one sister, Carol Nocera, of New Jersey, and four grandchildren, Luke, Kira, Emma and Angie. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 2nd at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 15226 21st Ave. SW, Burien, with burial to follow at Tahoma National Cemetery. Memorials to the St. Francis of Assisi Funeral Ministry or Outreach Program.

Jimmy & I were so sorry to hear about your Dad. I know this is a very difficult time but please remember we are all here for you. Please extend our sympathies to your mother.
