Obituary
Gertie Lillian Henry went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 19 and is now with her husband, Marco “Joe” Henry, in Heaven. Gertie was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 22, 1932, one of seven children of Theodore and Gertie Brown. After attending business college, Gertie left New Orleans and moved to Los Angeles. After working as a legal secretary for many years she was hired at Crenshaw Christian Center and worked there until she retired in 1998. Gertie was also very active in church activities. After her husband Marco died in 1999, Gertie lived In Los Angeles until moving to Federal Way, Washington in 2009. After moving to Washington, she spent much of her time with her son Kevin, his wife Terri and family. Gertie is survived by her sisters, Doris and Irma, brother Louis, son Kevin, grandson Marco, daughter in law Terri, and six great grandchildren. She will be terribly missed after touching so many lives.
