Gertrude “Trudy” Babitsky, age 75, passed peacefully on July 26, 2005 in Seattle. She was born in Harrisburg, PA. Trudy is survived by her daughter, Barbara L. Heinle Doug; two sons, Robert W. Babitsky Susan and Michael R. Babitsky Pam; six grandchildren, Christopher, Aaron, Kristina, Nicole, Michelle and Justin; a niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 2003. Trudy was an amazing lady, hard working and devoted to her children, grandchildren and husband. At her request, there will be a private family memorial service. The family prefers memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Inurnment BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial.

I’m sorry to hear about your loss. Mrs. “B” was such a great person. I have good memories of her. She was a person of strength and comfort for me. I remember coming home from school sick and she would lay me on her couch and cover me, it was so calming. I can also remember doing something wrong and I would see her looking out her bedroom window with a look of disapproval. She would fill me full of guilt that only a mother could do. Whether I needed nurturing or discipline, I always knew she was there for me.
