Obituary

Gertrude “Trudy” Warr, age 89 passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 in Seattle. 

Trudy was a multi-talented, strong, talkative, personality. She was an inspired knitter and made sure each family member had an abundance of her hand knit sweaters, hats, socks and vests. She painted in oils, water color and on porcelain; was a member and past president of the Porcelain Artists of the Great Northwest. She won first place in the national contest for the Merril Gardens 2012 Christmas Card and 5th place for 2013. She loved to sing in the Wedgewood Presbyterian choir and with the Gilbert & Sullivan Society. Trudy especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. We will all miss her very much.

Trudy is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Dellplain, Linda Kesler and Eileen Warr-Marti (Michael); grandchildren, Patti Dellplain-Jeg (Bill), Elizabeth Rogers (Jeff) Tim Kesler, Christina Kesler,  Dr.Miranda Marti (Matthew Moore); four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Warr in 1997.  Services will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA.

Ribbons of love are not severed by that which we call death. Love to all that Aunt Gert loved and those that are celebrating Aunt Gert’s life today. Regret we cannot be there today,

Gertrude “Trudy” Warr. She has done so much for our orgainization and we appreciate very much your families donation to our club. She will be in our memories forever. Gertrude was the best.
