Gloria was a beautiful soul. This, in brief, is her story.

Gloria A. Velasco peacefully passed away on August 25, 2022 at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Washington.

Gloria was born on April 16, 1942 to father Enrique Velasco and mother Genoveva Agas in Pangasinan, Philippines. She was born during World War 2, coming into this world with tenacity when her parents fled to the forest to give birth to her. Gloria has 2 sisters, Angelina and Luz, and 5 brothers, Rudy, Flor, Jesus, Gil, and Silvestre. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Molina. She is survived by her four children; Nancy, Enrique, Maria, and William; sisters Angelina and Luz; brother, Silvestre; two daughters-in-law; Charlaine and Michelle and son-in-law, Randy. As well as her eight grandchildren; Adriel, Nico, Francesca, Justin, Isabela, Migel, Janessa, and William Jr.

In 1978 she left the Philippines for better opportunities in Hong Kong. After a year, she migrated to the United States.

Before her stroke 21 years ago, she loved to cook for her children. She enjoyed baking and found gardening therapeutic. Her garden was full of blooming flowers, where delightful smells wafted through the summer air. She enjoyed visiting with her friends and always had something delicious prepared. Gloria loved the television shows Matlock, Perry Mason, and Murder She Wrote. She doted on her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

Through the latter part of her years, she still loved hanging out with her children and grandchildren. Little things made her happy. The same tenacity she displayed from birth manifested in her last days.

Gloria, your family and friends are going to miss you. You were well loved and enriched many lives that came around you. Your family deeply loves you, as you do them.

Mom, until we meet again in Heaven. We will miss you.
