Obituary
Gloria died at home after a long 2 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was 73.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lewis, 4 children and 15 grandchildren. She met her future husband, Robert, on a blind date in 1962, fell in love and were married in 1964. They enjoyed many cruises around different parts of the world together throughout their 53 year love affair.
The funeral service will be May 22nd 11:00am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Burien.

My heart is so saddened for all of you. Gloria spirit was so cheerful and vivacious, which I believe lives on! Though I know it may not comfort anyone. I love you all.
What a beautiful woman inside and out. A woman who was kind, funny, and always enjoyable to be around. She had a wonderful husband and family that along with all of her friends will miss her greatly. Mrs. Lewis, aka “mom” was a big part of my childhood. I have many fond memories. I will miss her dearly.
Gloria was my best friend for 55 years. We meet at the bank.I remember when she showed me a picture of a handsome guy she was dating standing by a sports car. George and I went to their wedding We .shared good times and bad as we raised our children. We had lots of fun, I taught her to drive with our kids in the back of a station wagon. After we left Seattle to be with our children and grandchildren, we kept in touch by phone to share our lives with stories of our children and grandchildren. I will miss those calls.God blessed me with the best friend you could ask for. Sending prayers and love to all.
Sending prayers and love to Karen and Mike and their family, and all of Karen’s family. We are so sorry for their lose. Gloria was a lovely women and loving mother and grandmother.
I never had the opportunity to meet Gloria in person but I feel as if I did know her through her daughter, Cheryl, during the phone calls over lunch when Cheryl would called her to settle a disagreement between us. 😉 But my fondest memory of Gloria will be when Cheryl enlisted her to verify that Flossing at one’s work station is totally wrong! 😉

As a young child whenever I sang “Angels we have heard on high” and reached the chorus of “Gloria, Gloria…” I was convinced it had something to do with my mom’s best friend. She was well named. During each visit to our house Gloria brought with her great joy, laughter and warmth.
We are all better off for having known her.
Gloria was my favorite Aunt. Ever since I could remember she wrapped me and my family in love during holidays and family occassions. She doted on me and my brothers during our visits and always made us feel special. She will be missed greatly. I am a better person because of her influence in my life. Love to my cousins and Uncle Bob.
She lives in my fond memories of her taking me shopping for back to school clothes and teaching me that clam chowder is delicious. She was a good woman who will be missed.
Gee Gee’s smile and presence will be greatly missed by us all. I am lucky to have had an aunt like her who raised four great kids who are not just cousins, but also my friends.
She is loved by all those she left behind. Until we meet again, over the rainbow, greeted by hot tea and cookies at grandma’s kitchen table. xoxo
