Obituary for Dawn Feyder VanEtten
Dawn was born in Effie Minnesota on July 11, 1921, to Jacob and Myrtle Hendrickson. On October 31, 2017, at the age of 96 Dawn passed away. She moved to Seattle in 1941 where she spent the rest of her life and loved everything about the Northwest. Her first job was with Puget Sound Stampworks.
In 1942 Dawn started working at The Boeing Company where she met her first husband George Feyder. They were married in 1945 and lived in the Seattle area all of their lives together. They had two daughters Carol and Denise. In 1963 Dawn started working for the Frederick & Nelson department store. She was the Table Linen buyer until she retired in 1983. Because of her love for working and her joy to sell she started a sales representative business with her daughter and worked until 1989.
In 1972 her husband George Feyder passed away. Seventeen years later she met another terrific man John VanEtten. They were married in 1989 and had ten wonderful years together until John passed away in 1999.
Dawn loved traveling, writing poems, calligraphy, crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She will always be remembered for her love, support, generosity, humor, and graciousness for her family and friends.
Dawn is preceded in death by her parents Jacob & Myrtle Hendrickson, brother Dale Hendrickson and husbands George Feyder and John VanEtten. Dawn is survived by her daughters Carol Wooten (Terry), Denise Hankel (Dexter), grandchildren Lee Wooten (Natalie), Lisa Clark (Damon), Zak Hankel and greatgrandchildren Hudson & Piper Wooten and Georgia & Owen Clark.
A memorial service will be held at Washington Memorial Park on Monday, November 20, 2017, at 11:00 am.

I was your housekeeper when you moved into Wesley Homes. Dawn you were Loved by every one at WEsley .. I called you a lot when you moved to Vashon . Your family was so lucky to have you as a mother and grandmother . Even though you moved out of Wesley no one ever forgot you . I thanks God I got to know you so well . God Bless the family
Dawn was my 2 nd mom. She taught me how to play Canasta and Rummy games,I still play cards frequently. She always had a smile on her face, and a thoughtful greeting.
Her presence on this earth will be truly missed by many.
I have all the Memories that will last forever.
