Sending sympathy to all your family. I grew up in the area but after Harlan moved away. I so remember Walfred and Stella from my childhood days…and later hearing Stella taking great pride in Harlans visit home. My parents were John & Senia Halone – cousins in the area.

I was born/raised on a farm 2 miles from the Walfred Halone farm. Harlan and I hunted ducks and geese together. His parents, Walfred and Stella, always spent time with us when they were in the Seattle area. My last visit with Harlan was at his cousin’s, Harold Bykonen’s funeral. I will miss him. Harlan, rest in peace.

The farms where Harlan grew up and where I grew up in North Dakota are only one mile from each other, so I always felt a close connection to him. We will all miss his constant smile.

I was Harlan’s insurance agent for many years prior to my retirement in 2000. If all my insureds were as good as Harlan, there wouldn’t be much need for insurance. He was one of the most kind and considerate clients I had with little claim activity. Since my retirement, I’ve always missed my contact with people like Harlan. I am deeply saddened by his passing. He will be sorely missed by all.
