Harold married Alma Excell June 4, 1938 and was happily married for over 58 yrs, living in Ballard until Alma passed away in Dec 1996. They had one son, Ron, who lives in Kirkland. Harold and Alma started their married life at Bethel Temple in downtown Seattle. He was soon called to Philadelphia Church to be their song leader in 1940 and continued there for 40 yrs. Harold enjoyed cars and would always be looking in the newspaper and on car lots to see if he should make a change, which he frequently did. In 1998, he married Adeline Midstokke, who had lost her husband years earlier and was a family friend of his and Alma’s. They lived in the Shoreline area for over 10 yrs and enjoyed traveling together in their sunset years. They moved to Merrill Gardens Northgate Plaza in 2009. He spent the last 4 months at a wonderful Adult Family Home, Martha Lake View.
