Karen, Rhonda, Loreli & family – What can we say? Our sympathies go out to you and your family. We were so sad to hear of Grandma Butters passing. She was an absolute joy to spend time with. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren and it oozed from her on our trips together to gobble down Lutefisk. I am so glad we got to spend that time together, what a gift : Her life will live on through all her works though the hospital. Tyler and Josh have their Christmas stockings Grandma hand-made that come out every year to take their place on the fireplace mantel. Please know that our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you and your family :

Love and God Bless,

Lea, Stephen, Tyler, Josh and Stephen Jr.

Dear Laureli, Karen and Rhonda,

We were saddened by the news. Unfortunately, the distances have not allowed us to spend much time together, but during my 1969-1970 internship at the USPHS Hospital on Beacon Hill, your parents made our first year of marriage a joy. Harriet was ever the gracious hostess and used impeccable grammer. I can only describe her as a “Classy Lady”. We are richer for having her as our aunt. I know that the sorrows sre great, but hope that the memories will soften them and bring a smile to your faced often.

Your cousins,

Gene and Ellen Petersen

We all loved Harriet very much, especially my girls, as “Auntie Harriet” was a mentor to them in so many ways. Auntie Harriet was always the life of the party and succeeded in making every one feel special. Harriet was a gourmet cook and demonstrated her wares in this arena at seemingly any occasion.

My girls were also a captive audience to Harriet’s proficiency in Blackjack. They loved learning from Harriet as much as she loved teaching them or anyone else willing to learn from the master. Harriet had truly mastered living life to the fullest and blessed those around her in so many ways. Lorayne my mom who preceded Harriet in death by 4 years especially adored her baby sister, Harriet.

Truly, an Everson icon has passed from the scene and those of us still numbered among the living will feel the loss, deeply and evermore.
