To the family of Captain Harry Smith,

On behalf of the Seattle Chapter, Council of American Master Mariners, we wish to express our condolences. Harry was a long-time member of the C.A.M.M. organization. He was a well-liked and well-respected ship’s Master who sailed many years with APL and American Mail Line. He will be missed.

On behalf of the many friends that worked or sailed with Captain H. D. Smith at American Mail Line and American President Lines, we can only say he was a true gentleman and will be missed. We knew him as H. D. or Harry and, of couse, CAP.
