Obituary

Hazel L. Walter, age 81, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed peacefully after a short illness December 2, 2005 in Tacoma. She is survived by her husband of 6 years, Vane; her four children, Larry Walter Phyllis, Jerry Walter Connie, Eric Rohland and David Rohland La Jean; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Fosnaugh Joseph and Ruth Van Horn Howard and numerous nieces and nephews. Hazel loved her many flowers and truly enjoyed gardening and raising Dahlias with Vane, which involved planting, growing and harvesting some 1500 Dahlia plants each season. She enjoyed her travels to the many Metropolitan Club car shows and was actively involved with the 115th Calvary Association, active member of the Metropolitan Owners Club of North America and a Veteran of the United States Navy WAVE during WWII. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 10:00 AM at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA 206 242-1787 Special thanks to Hartwood Extended Health Care especially to Gayle Harden. The family prefers memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Association in Hazel’s name.
