Helen Haggerty Eaton Powers

Mom was born in Stanley, North Dakota while her mother Margaret Haggerty was visiting her sister who was about to give birth to mom’s cousin Marie Mitzel. Mom beat her cousins into this world by three days. Grandma Haggerty returned to Sheridan County, Montana and continued to raise the Haggerty Clan. Helen was preceded in death by her first husband Leo Eaton, and later by her second husband Larry Powers.
Helen is survived by her children Thomas Eaton, and Patricia Eaton along with her grandchildren Catherine Eaton, and Patricia M. Eaton. She is also survived by her younger brother William Haggerty, step-son Mike Powers, and step-daughter Cassie Lapinskas and family. Mom also is survived by several relatives, too numerous to mention. She will be greatly missed. In those famous Irish words, “May you be in heaven a half-an-hour before the Devil knows you past.” You will always be in our hearts.
Funeral Mass Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 11:30am at St. Philomena Catholic Church, 1790 S. 222nd, Des Moines, WA 98198.
Helen was a wonderful lady friend to so many . she will be missed so . i am saddened by your loss . please know that my prayers are with you all in this hard time the Irish wit will also be missed .rest in peace dear one .
